Document Scanning operation through DOCUPEN

Document Scanning operation through DOCUPEN
1. Open PaperPort Software
2. Go to File menu and click on SCAN or Get Photo option
3. Click on SCAN button
4. Now noticed that one screen ( Docupen Scanner Control ) Screen is open
5. Ensure that you have already scanned the your document through docupen
6. Connected the scanner and now press the docupen top side button and Click on Download button
7. Noticed that the PEN CONNECTED message appear on screen and you scanned file shown on blank space
8. Select this file and click on Transfer button & noticed that the said document file is shown under the Paper port Documents space
9. Double click on this ( Document ) file and noticed that it is open with another screen
10. Now noticed that the all scanned text appear on screen. Press the Mouse right side button and drag the mouse from one end to another end ( i.e. select the correct text )
11. Go to File and select the SAVE AS option and enter the file name with SAVE AS TYPE JPEG extension.
12. Now this saved file select when you send document through ePost.

Now e-Post facility is being extending to all post offices.Here is a brief explanation about the printing of epost messages .Step 1.Login to e-post website (www.indiapost.nic.in ) using the userid and password provided to each office

Step2.If e-post messages are pending for printing,the total number to be printed will be displayed below the option "NOT PRINTED TILL DATE" as displayed in the screen shot below.Click on the total number displayed

Step3.Now a new window will openHere you can see Delivery post office name,pincode and number of messages.Click on the "Delivery Post office name"

Step4.In the next screen details of the e-Post messages will appear,select the message to be printed and click on print option

Step5.Now a new window will open,here you can see the details of the selected message .Click on print now option.

Step6. In the next screen you will be asked to select the printer .Select the printer and click on ok option.

Step7.If the message printed properly ,select yes in the next screen

Handling of Cheques collected for DOP DIGIFRANK from RMFS customers

All the payments/credits received from RMFS customers at the Post Offices should be handled as e-payment transactions only in Point of Sale counter under biller name DOP DIGIFRANK. The particulars are to be entered correctly.

Whenever, Cheques relating to e-payment transactions are collected through POS counter, the cheques are to be transferred to the Treasurer through the option 'Counter Cheques' only. Otherwise, data pertaining to e-counter database (e-payment transaction) will not be transferred to Treasury.

After the clearance particulars are received from Bank, enter the Clearance particularsof the cheque.

Select the correct bank details, Designation of the Treasurer, Transactions date on which cheque sent to Bank, Voucher No. and the Date of Clearance of the Cheque and Click on OK.

Then in the next menu, select the cheque concerned and Click on Cleared Option.

Then Check the confirmation message and Click on ‘Yes’ Button. Here, the Clearance particulars will be updated in Treasury Database as well as e-counter database, if the cheque particulars are received from POS counter as ‘counter cheque’ Option only.

If the Post Office (SOs) is not dealing with banks directly and remitting the cheques to their Head Offices then the data of cheque realization particulars will be captured by the e-payment server from the Head office concerned once the cheque is disposed at the Head Office as per the above procedure in Treasury.

The details of cheques cleared by the Treasurer are to be verified by the Supervisor through Cheques Verification option.

Click on Fetch button, to get the data for the day, Click on the Voucher Number, Select the Cheque Concerned then Click on OK.

Procedure for creating the Text file and uploading the text file for the cheques collected in Treasury through POS counter and sending the same to Head Office/ Other Head Office.

a. While sending cheques to Other Head office (Including own HO)

i. The cheques collected are to be sent through the Option Treasurer—Payments- Other Head office.

ii. Select the Name of the Head Office and select the Cheques to be sent to Other Head office and click on OK.

iii. Create Text file of the Cheques sent to OHO through the Option Reports—Cheques sent to Other HOs.

i. The cheques received from Other Head office/SO are to be received through the Option treasurer—receipts

ii. Select the option Sub Office Receipts / Other Head Office Receipts as the case may be.

iv. Select the option ‘From File’ in the remittance received form – Click on ‘Browse’ for the location of the softcopy of the ‘ChequestoOHOddmmyyyy.txt‘ file received from the Other Head Office/Sub Office.

v. After selecting the correct destination of the file received, Click on OK and click on Finish.

Important Note:

This procedure will update the key information pertaining to Cheques collected towards e-payment transactions done at SO/OHOs, which are not having direct Bank transactions, for Updating the ecounter database/e-payment server with the Clearance Date particulars of the cheque collected at the Other offices while entering the Clearance particulars for the cheques

at this PO through Treasurer—Tools – Cheques Cleared Option.

Operational Details of ePoste messages

Operational Details of ePoste messages can also be sent to email ID(s) anywhere in the world. Booking can be done from both a Post Office or from customer’s computer at home or office.
The epost messages would be printed on A4 (8.27” x 11.69”) size paper. Therefore, the message booked should be in sheets of no more than A4 size. However, there is no limit on the number of pages that can be sent.
epost messages are treated on par with the unregistered letters under the Indian Post Office Act, 1898.
The current rates for the epost service are Rs. 10 per page per addressee.
With the launching of the epost by INDIA POST, email can now be sent and received by even the people living in remote areas, even without the sender or the addressee having access to computers or internet.
Besides making the benefits of internet available even to Indians living in remote areas, epost enables businessmen and professionals to advertise their products and services to select customers. They can send their publicity material even from their or home or office from their computers, without having to spend for printing of advertisements and then on posting or hand delivering them.
For availing the epost service, or to have further information, customers can approach the nearest post office or log on to indiapost.nic.in.

Windows7Orb Long back we saw how to disable the clicking sound from Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer in Vista and Windows 7, and on similar note one of the LyteByte reader has asked how to change or disable the windows startup sound? Well, many may be interested in disabling or changing the windows startup, shutdown and other sounds like Windows logon, Windows logoff, System Notification, Mail notification and other similar sounds.

So how to disable or change Windows startup, shutdown, logon, logoff and other system sounds?

This article is explained using Windows 7 and it should be the same with Vista.

Click Start –> Control Panel –> Hardware and Sound –> Sound (or just search for Sound in Start and click Sound under Control Panel)

Go to the Sounds tab.

Here you can control all different system sounds like, Startup Sound, Shutdown Sound, Windows Logoff, Windows Logon, Windows User Account Control, System Notification, Email Notification etc.

How to disable it?

If you want to disable any of the sounds, just choose the Program Event and choose None from Sounds drop down menu.

How to change it?

Likewise as above, choose the Program Event and use Browse to select a new sound. (Note: It has to be WAV format and keep the size small to enable a good startup or shutdown process.)

Just uncheck the Play Windows Startup Sound.

How about changing Windows Startup and Shutdown sound?

If you had scrolled down and up to see Windows Startup and Shutdown sound, you might have been disappointed to not see it there. But these sounds are stored in C Drive –> Windows –> Media (C:\Windows\Media)

If you want to change any particular sound here, just paste your sound file here and rename it to the name here. For example, Windows Startup and Windows Shutdown. (Note: Here also, it has to be WAV format and keep the size small to enable a good startup or shutdown problem

windows7 By default in Windows Vista and Windows 7, you need to double click to open any file or folder. But some may prefer to open the files and folders using a single mouse click.

So how to change double click to single click mouse selection in Windows?

Go to My Computer –> Press Alt in the Keyboard and you will see the File and Edit menu. Select Folder Options from the Tools menu.

Under the General tab, change the Click items as follows from Double-click to open an item (single-click to select) to single-click to open an item (point to select).

You can also change the settings to underline the icon titles always or only when you point at them.

Click Apply and Ok to make the changes. Now you can use single click using mouse to open files and folders in Windows Explorer.
